Transnational group of research and theatrical creation, between Western and Eastern Europe

The transnational group consists of actors and researchers teams, coming from the three partner countries: France - Greece - Turkey
Each partner will initiate a creative action, with the objective of enhancing the results of the research on the art of the actor, combining tradition and contemporary creation. Periods of repetitions will be punctuated by collaborative and joint work between the three partners. In this way, the actions will not be isolated and independent, but they will result from a process of dialogue and exchanges. The Cultural Centre of Göreme will produce an annual festival. Its program will bring together Turkish traditional artists from different regions of Turkey, and the Greek and French artists of the project. This festival will also be an opportunity for meetings between the actors and the local artists. We will open our work to the public during performances. We will share our research with the general public, at different stages of its evolution. The modus operandi of the performances will be defined depending on the circumstances, because of the evolving nature of the theatrical creations. For example, the public will see the preparation of the actors before the work. Each performance will be followed by a round table discussion. The works will circulate in different phases. The creations will turn and be played; the Festival will include “windows” in each partner country. At the end of the project, the creations will continue to be worked and refined by their artists. They are not “project-works”, but works or productions to be perpetuated.
